Welcome to Rugby for Learning.....    Not everyone was born with a rugby ball in hand nor the Laws on how to play it. Below I have tried to explain the rough outline of Rugby, with pictures, action photos and Laws. this is still a work in progress... as of june 29th 2010. PLAYERS NEED TO LEARN THE 11NEW LAWS  :)  found on BCRU web page, look at the ELV Regulations (pdf file) PARENTS.....  Here are some of the names of the positions in Rugby.   NOTE:  Each position has a specific Number on their jersey, which is different than most sports. Canadian Team defending a Ruck. A Maul is when the ball is held up by 2 or more bodies from the other team.
