The Lyle Chapman, “You’ve Got This” Memorial Bursary has been established in honour of a beloved educator and principal whose unwavering dedication to students left a profound and lasting impact on all who knew him. Known for his unapologetic support, Lyle was more than a leader—he was an advocate, a friend, and a tireless champion for every student who walked through his school doors.
Lyle possessed a rare and powerful gift: the ability to see the very best in others and the determination to help them see it in themselves. With an unshakeable belief in the potential of every student, he especially stood beside those who were often overlooked or underserved, offering encouragement, opportunity, and hope.
Lyle’s legacy is one of care, equity, and empowerment—a legacy that continues through this bursary. In recognition of his deep commitment to student success and well-being, Lyle’s family has created the “You’ve Got This” Memorial Bursary to support and uplift students, just as Lyle always did.
