Students Share Learning With Their Family
Over the past two weeks, students at 16 elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school were actively engaged in student-led conferences, where they had the opportunity to share and reflect on their learning successes and goals with their families.
As an “Informal Learning Update”, student-led conferences took place April 29 to May 10 and provided a wonderful opportunity to invite families into classrooms and hear first-hand about their child’s learning journey and self-reflections. During these conferences, families learn more about the curriculum that is being taught, how their child is progressing, and become active participants in their child’s learning.
“Student-led conferences empower students to take ownership of their own learning. They become active participants in the educational process by setting goals, tracking progress, and reflecting on their achievements and areas for growth,” explains Director of Instruction Jennifer Findlay. Thank you to all the teachers, students, and families who participated in this learning process together!
