Amazing Art Fair

A group of students from each elementary school throughout the district had the opportunity to work with local artisans during the 26th annual SD83 Elementary District Art Fair at Piccadilly Mall in Salmon Arm.

From February 28 to March 6th elementary schools across the district had student art work on display at the Piccadilly Mall. Then on March 4 groups of students went to the mall to participate in art workshops with local artisans.

Thank you to our artisans who worked with over 350 students. The local artisans were Pat Worton (birdhouse painting), Melissa Nasby (acrylic paint pouring), Lisa Abbott (print making), Christine Kashuba (artist trading cards), Molly Cooperman (Lego Mindstorm), Eiko Ukehara (Japanese calligraphy), Abe Tio (lifeform drawing), Diane Jewell (Indigenous beads), Joan Jacob (leatherwork), Terry Greenhough (pen and ink), and Catherine Auten (pottery).
