Changes to report card timelines and provincial assessment

Posted on 2022-01-27 08:00:00 +0000 UTC

Kindergarten to Grade 8 (K-8) report cards will be coming out one week later than planned, and the Grade 12 provincial assessments for January have been cancelled.

With the delayed start after winter vacation and the high absenteeism, School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) decided to delay K-8 report cards by one week, explains Director of Instruction (Inclusive Education) Carol-Ann Leidloff. “K-8 report cards will now be available on February 25.”

It was also announced by the Ministry of Education that Grade 12 provincial assessments scheduled for the end of January have been cancelled. It was noted that no Grade 12 students who are on track to graduate in the 2021/22 school year will be impacted by this cancellation. Further information on upcoming sessions will be provided by mid-February.

Report cards for SD83 secondary students will be posted to the family portal, as scheduled, on Feb. 10.
