With the retirement of two principals, Sydney Griffith and Gene Doray, there will be changes in the administration at a few SD83 schools. With Doray’s retirement, Mishel Quaal, the current VP at Jackson, will become the new principal at M.V. Beattie. A new administrator to the District, Petr Pospisil, will take on the role of vice-principal at A.L. Fortune. The current vice-principal at A.L. Fortune, Gloria Cox, will be moving to J.L. Jackson.

Following Sydney Griffith’s retirement, Highland Park’s current principal, Rob Ellis, will become the new principal at Silver Creek. The current principal at Falkland, Shelly Cull, will be moving to Highland Park and will be joined by current Len Wood Middle Vice-Principal Duncan Hazlewood. Sharon Mitchell will be the new vice-principal at Len Wood Middle.

The current Highland Park Vice-Principal, Spencer Ward, will be the new principal at Falkland.
