School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) Secretary-Treasurer Alanna Cameron reports the sale of the DAC building was finalized at the end of January 2019 to Paramjit Singh Chahal.
Cameron adds that the district also signed a five-and-a-half year lease agreement for a portion of the school to continue as the home of the district’s Storefront School.
Proceeds from the sale ($435,000) will be allocated to Local Capital for future capital purchases, as determined by the Board.
The Board appreciates the efforts of interim Secretary-Treasurer Bruce Hunt in finalizing the sale before his return to retirement.
