Final graduation for SD83 schools on Friday

It was a year like no other, with graduation ceremonies all across the country like no other. The final graduation ceremony of 2020 in School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) was for the graduating class of Salmon Arm Secondary – Sullivan.

The valedictorian address and speeches were recorded. Small groups of students walking across the stage and receiving their diplomas were also photographed and recorded. The completed video was streamed to all graduating students and their families on Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m.

The ceremony also featured interpreters (Kristina Baker and Tyler Offer) as one of the students of the graduating Class of 2020 is deaf.
