Fundraising Fun at Pleasant Valley Secondary School

Students at Pleasant Valley Secondary School (PVSS) are working towards raising $1,500 by December 21, 2023, to support the Armstrong Food Bank. As an extra incentive for reaching their fundraising goal, students will have the chance to participate in a pie-tossing event involving staff.

Students and staff at PVSS are dedicated to supporting their community by ensuring that all families in Armstrong and Spallumcheen have enough to eat during the holiday season. The Armstrong food bank regularly supports over 200 households and spends approximately $10,000 in December alone. Many people don’t realize that it could be their neighbour, classmate, or co-worker who are in need of support from a food bank.

Donations can be made in-person at PVSS through cash, cheque, or via e-transfer to pvs@sd83.bc.ca (please include the student’s name in the memo). For every $1 donated, their name will be entered into the draw for a chance to throw a pie at a staff member during lunch on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
