Off to provincial track and fields!
Congrats to Pleasant Valley Secondary, Len Wood Middle, Salmon Arm Secondary Sullivan, and Jackson school students who competed in the Okanagan Track and Field Championships on May 19 at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, with several qualifying for the provincial championships in Langley from June 9-11.
The event featured athletes from Grades 8 to 12. The top four juniors and seniors in each event qualified for the provincials.
Coach Suzy Beckner reports there were over 20 athletes from Sullivan and Jackson that qualified to attend the BC High School Track and Field Championships.

Beckner reports both Sullivan and Jackson have had successful track and field seasons so far this spring. Between the two schools there were 35 athletes participating in the North Okanagan Zone Finals and the Okanagan Valley Championships. There were many outstanding performances during those two track meets. In addition, they had a great representation at the Battle of BC and Dylan Armstrong track meets.
