Post-secondary Education and Career Planning Session
Parents have long played a vital role in guiding their children into the world of work and future education. To further support this role, SD83 is offering parents a valuable opportunity.
A strategic focus within the SD83 2023-2028 Strategic Plan is to raise awareness about career pathways and programming opportunities. To support this action, we are excited to highlight EducationPlannerBC’s virtual presentation.
SD83 and EducationPlannerBC are teaming up to host a workshop on Tuesday, October 15th, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The session is primarily geared towards students in Grades 10-12 and their parents, but parents of younger students are also welcome to attend.
Topics will include:
– Program admission requirements and application deadlines for some post-secondary institutions.
– Program costs and financial aid options.
– Resources available through EducationPlannerBC.
– Tools for exploring post-secondary education and career opportunities.
Participants will also learn how to create an EducationPlannerBC account, save programs and careers to “My List,” and apply to post-secondary institutions in B.C.
