Shuswap Middle School students went above and beyond to support the local SPCA!
Throughout June, Chelsea Reid’s Grade 6 class participated in the SPCA fundraiser “Lock in for Love.” Students collected donations for the SPCA and had the chance to cuddle puppies in return.
“Our goal was to raise $1,000 but we ended up raising almost $3,200,” said teacher Chelsea Reid. As of June 25, the SPCA surpassed its fundraising goal of $8,500, with donations still coming in.
On June 25, an SPCA helper visited the classroom and brought puppies from the cruelty department to show students what their efforts are supporting.
The BC SPCA Shuswap gave a special shout-out to the class on social media.
