Students First!
As the new school year begins, SD83 wants to re-iterate that the first goal of its strategic plan is Students First, which means student success is our top priority every day. This goal closely aligns with the BC curriculum, which offers students the opportunity to personalize their learning, and understand things in a deeper, more meaningful way. This will increase student engagement and develop and strengthen important life skills such as critical thinking and problem solving.
Our second goal is Organizational Efficiency, so decisions and actions are clear, purposeful, and responsible.
Our third and final goal, is creating a Culture of Health and Wellness, where students and staff are healthy, and connected to the learning community.
It’s time to renew the Strategic Plan
SD83 will be working with stakeholders to establish what the foundational beliefs, values and visions are for a new five year strategic plan. Watch for sessions later this fall.
