At most schools, as the new school year begins, some form of “meet the staff” evening is held. Sometimes it is a barbeque, sometimes a corn roast and sometimes it is even dessert!
On Wednesday the meet the staff evening at M.V. Beattie Elementary in Enderby was attended by over 350 people . . . and they all got ice cream cones!
Principal Gene Doray reports this was their second annual ice cream social and it was a fun and successful evening. “A fantastic turnout by our parent/guardian community,” he adds.
