Swimmers qualify for provincials
Over 200 swimmers from Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton, Princeton, Armstrong, Sicamous and Kamloops took part in the Okanagan Regional High School Swim Meet at Salmon Arm Recreation Centre on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Although held in Salmon Arm, this meet was hosted by Eagle River Secondary and was a qualifier for the upcoming B.C. School Sports Aquatic Championships on Nov. 17-18 at Nanaimo Aquatics Centre.
SD 83 had the following swimmers qualify for provincials:
• Salmon Arm Senior Secondary – Liberty Vandergift, Jasmine Blacklock and Mathew Blacklock
• Jackson – Vienne Breddick, Stella Bollen, Katy Caulkins, Jaidyn Danyluk and Tracy Clara
• Shuswap Middle School – Finn Skoftby.
• Eagle River Secondary – Tyler Hilton and Owen Hilton
• Pleasant Valley Secondary School – Brea Duncan
