Salmon Arm Urban, Salmon Arm Rural, Carlin, and Sorrento School Catchment Details
All new secondary catchments in the Salmon Arm urban and rural areas will be in effect for Grades 10 and 11 beginning the fall of 2025. All Grade 9 students will attend JLJ and all Grade 12 students will attend SAS for the 2025-2026 school year, only. Starting in the fall of 2026, all secondary students will attend the secondary school based on their catchment area as listed below:

- Students will attend the secondary school above based on the new catchment area in which they reside (Refer to Maps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
- If a student attended an elementary school as an out of catchment student (e.g. cross boundary) they will attend the secondary school based on the new catchment area in which they reside.
- The decision regarding which secondary school elementary students from South Canoe Outdoor School will attend is still under review.
- All secondary students who are eligible bus riders, including students enrolled in the secondary French Immersion Program of Choice, will have access to bussing.
- Currently, School Locator does not reflect the new catchment boundaries that will take effect in the fall of 2025. If your child will be entering Grade 10 or 11 at J.L. Jackson Secondary or Salmon Arm Secondary in the fall of 2025, please refer to the maps available on the SD83 website.
