Ready, Set, Learn at North Shuswap Elementary
On Friday, February 27, 2026, North Shuswap Elementary welcomed families for an engaging Ready, Set, Learn (RSL) session designed to support early learning through play, exploration, and meaningful connection.
Families gathered in the school library, where a variety of inviting learning stations were set up to encourage creativity, curiosity, and shared experiences. Children enjoyed time at the craft tables, working alongside family members as they drew, glued, and created with simple materials. The carpeted areas offered spaces for imaginative play with puppets, dolls, and wooden blocks—activities that encouraged storytelling, fine motor development, and cooperative interaction.
Ready, Set, Learn is a free, province-wide early learning initiative offered by our District to support families with children ages three to five. The program helps children become familiar with school settings while connecting families with community resources and supports that contribute to a confident and positive transition into kindergarten.
